The Paper - Surviving the Adventurers

Misadventure strikes again! The Mournfall horde traveled to Da Bridge for a diplomatic mission with the one calling himself King of da Trolls. Reports have returned of a pitched battle with greenskins on the ascent to the bridge. Witnesses say the fight was to prove worthiness for a seat at the king's feast to celebrate the birth of his daughter. When the diplomatic envoy arrived, they found the so called Queen of da Trolls to have a mysteriously pink complexion. According to eyewitness Kurog Bonebreaker, nobody questioned the odd looking infant and began to hand over magic items as gifts of supplication. Satisfied with the offerings, the troll king opened the doors to his feast hall and allowed the party inside.

It should be noted that the Troll King does have some semblance of a royal court, including an advisor, a jester, and some kind of court mage. A humanoid girl wearing clothes resembling that of the Troll King's royal court confused many in attendance. An elf who wishes to remain anonymous said about her, "I heard that troll girl singing songs about demons! Seems mighty suspicious to me." Despite suspicions about her origin, Solan, a young devotee of Cassandra, spent much of her time with the humanoid girl in troll rags. Many assumed Solan to be charmed by the girl, but no evidence has been presented to prove that it wasn't just sheltered Church of Light naiveté.

Throughout the feast reports say that these greenskins settle disputes by "zawad", which seems to be a violent and primitive means to decide a victor to arbitrary disagreements. Through some such tests of brute strength, two Knights were chosen by the Troll King, although it remains to be seen whether titles granted by a troll simply occupying a broken bridge through sheer stubbornness is worth anything in the Berphauntian Empire. Whatever it means to be a Knight or Champion of the King of da Trolls, they were asked to choose to sacrifice their own as meals for the next feast. When asked to choose a race to be hunted by greenskins, Asterion declined to answer, but Tobo pointed a skeletal finger at those in town with any sort of fur on them. All Savar, Wolven, Fauns, Einher wearing too much fur, and Obogaton, should be aware that greenskins from da Bridge may be looking at you for their next meal.
